Unlocking the Future of Energy Data Sharing: Paving the Way for a Greener Tomorrow

Exploring the Groundbreaking ENERSHARE Project: How Real-Life Demonstrations Foster Efficient and Sustainable Energy Solutions

Common European Energy Data Space: The second Plenary Meeting of Enershare project took place in Lisbon

The energy landscape is rapidly changing, and the digitization of the energy system is generating a wealth of data that can revolutionize the way we produce, distribute, and consume energy. The ENERSHARE project aims to harness this data and unlock its potential to drive energy efficiency and facilitate a greener energy transition.

As part of the ENERSHARE project, the Decision Support Systems Laboratory of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) has taken the lead in planning, managing, and evaluating various real-life pilot programs. These pilots will demonstrate the technical innovations and business value propositions offered by the project's approach to energy data sharing.

To ensure the success of these pilot programs, the NTUA team has developed a comprehensive plan for preparing, measuring, and verifying each pilot's progress. This plan includes data sharing agreements, key performance indicator (KPI) assessments, deployment procedures, user satisfaction evaluations, and social acceptance assessments.

Through a series of innovative use cases, the ENERSHARE project will test various digital services aimed at increasing efficiency and sustainability across different energy sectors. These demonstrations will help validate the potential of a European Energy Data Space and provide a roadmap for future energy data sharing initiatives.

By promoting collaboration and trust among stakeholders, ENERSHARE aims to create a level playing field for data sharing in the energy sector, ultimately paving the way for a more efficient and sustainable future.
